Google has updated Chromecast with Google TV, giving more “advanced video controls”, including an option for HDR.
Once you download the rather sizeable (160mb) update and restart your device, you’ll be able to switch between Dolby Vision, HDR, and SDR, and tinker with resolution options at the following refresh rates.
- 4K (60Hz / 50Hz / 30Hz/ 25Hz / 24Hz)
- 1080p (60Hz / 50Hz / 24Hz)
- 720p (60Hz / 50Hz)
- 1080i (60Hz / 50Hz)
- 576p (50Hz)
- 480p (60Hz)
