A beetle with the potential to set Australias agriculture industry back $15 billion has arrived on a shipment of fridges from Thailand.
The Khapra beetle was detected on cargo bound for three The Good Guys stores in the Australian Capital Territory last week.
They are feared to be able to devastate stock of stored grain and dried food products to the tune of $15.5 billion in lost revenue over 20 years, according to the Department of Agriculture.
