‘Goldilocks’ season hailed by Riverina farmers as timing of rain helps deliver bumper crop

Farmers in southern New South Wales are celebrating what many are describing their “Goldilocks season” after receiving just the right amount of rain at the right time to produce a bumper crop.

With good sub-soil moisture, they are set up for next season as well and are hoping the good times continue.

Riverina farmers dodged the wet harvest many faced further north, instead enjoying the benefits of timely rain and strong prices.
