About 9am a crime scene was declared, however police ruled the death as non-suspicious.
Ms O’Shea, a 43-year-old Burleigh Heads woman, was believed to have driven to the shopping centre and the lid of the bin struck her while she was reaching inside.
Police said an autopsy would confirm the exact cause of her death.
