Aussie heartthrob Chris Hemsworth is about to descend on the Gold Coast with production on his new Netflix sci-fi film to start here this month.
Escape from Spiderhead will provide another huge boost to the local film industry, creating 360 jobs on the Gold Coast and pumping an estimated $47 million into the local economy.
The film will be directed by Joseph Kosinski whose work includes Top Gun: Maverick and Tron: Legacy.
