Gold Coast police investigate alleged rape of two teenagers
Gold Coast police are questioning three men over the alleged rape and sexual assault of two 15-year-old girls at Surfers Paradise overnight.
Acting Chief Superintendent Geoff Sheldon on Friday morning said the investigation began after a 15-year-old girl went to the concierge at a holiday resort in Surfers Paradise in a “distressed state”.
Police say the girls met the men on Surfers Paradise beach.
“Police were called and in investigations in relation to that, it turns out three girls, all (aged) 15, were on the beach and they met three young fellows,” he said.
“They went back to the room of these young fellows and it turns out they’ve been sexually assaulted and a complaint’s been made.”
