Gold Coast, Logan residents urged to get tested after more sewage detections – Brisbane Times
There is growing concern COVID-19 could be circulating in the south-east Queensland community after three detection in Gold Coast wastewater testing.
Getting tested is especially important now more than ever, as we know the new variants emerging overseas are more contagious than previous variants we have seen in Queensland, she said.
The health alert comes as authorities closely monitor the situation in NSW and Victoria this week.
Dr Bennett said people who had been in greater Melbourne since February 5 and those who had been in NSW since February 2 must get tested if they experienced any symptoms.
