Gold Coast family claims boy, aged six, ‘beyond recovery’ after mishap with toy
The family of a Queensland boy is bracing to turn off his life support after he was reportedly critically injured by a toy.
Deklan Labington-MacDonald, aged six, has been in the Queensland Children’s Hospital since the incident at his Gold Coast home on April 25 – Anzac Day.
Neither details of the nature of the mishap, nor what toy he was playing with, have been made public.
Lea Williams, the mother of Deklan’s mother Lauren, is leading efforts to generate support for the family.
