‘Glowing like daylight’: Meteor lights up Melbourne skies on Sunday night – 7NEWS.com.au
Witnesses thought they were watching lightning until the horizon was filled with a green tinge followed by an explosion.

As Victorian residents endured the states second day of a five-day snap lockdown, some who looked to the sky came across a pleasant surprise.
As seen in the video above, a meteor flashed across the sky in a stunning burst of light around 10.41pm Sunday night.
The meteor coincided with Valentines Day.
Some canny videographers were waiting for the meteor while others happened to capture the moment on security footage out the front of their house.
