Global co-ordination needed to ensure coral repair efforts no ‘quick fix’
A group of international scientists says more support needs to be given to programs to restore parts of the Great Barrier Reef, otherwise they are doomed to fail.
Researchers from Australia and Germany investigated a number of projects around the world that were specifically aimed at restoring and re-populating coral reefs.

The survey of the projects found 50 that had not already been discussed in scientific literature, with many of them taking place in the Caribbean and Indo Pacific regions.
