GlaxoSmithKline hoping to deliver Australia’s next COVID treatment – Sydney Morning Herald
The pharma giant has started the approvals process for a drug similar to what Donald Trump received.
GSK announced last year it plans to close its Melbourne manufacturing site in Boronia at the end of 2022 after 50 years. The companys research on the COVID treatment has all taken place overseas, with Australias low case numbers meaning it is difficult to run trials for treatments here.
