Glass recycling set to double in Victoria with millions pledged for new facilities
Glass recycling in Victoria is set to double as the state and Federal Government pump money into the troubled recycling sector after years of neglect.

- Seven projects will receive $8.1 million in funding to build new recycling facilities and processes
- Victoria’s recycling system struggled after China banned imports and a major player collapsed
- The new funding is part of a bigger plan to reduce the amount of material going to landfill
Plastic recycling is also expected to rise by 40 per cent thanks to $8.1 million of new funding split between seven recycling projects.
