Get set for a drenching: up to 300mm of rain on the way

Southeast Queensland is set to get a drenching over the next few days, with the Bureau of Meteorology saying a low pressure system will deliver up to 300mm of rain in some places.

The bureau said very heavy falls were likely in some bayside areas on Sunday, with the wet weather expected to begin on Friday.
There was a “high to very high chance of showers tending to rain at times” on Sunday, according to the bureau’s forecast.
