German man Tobias Pick charged over Launceston murder of Jingai Zhang on Boxing Day

Police have released the name of the woman they allege was murdered on Boxing Day in central Launceston.
Jingai Zhang, 49, was found dead inside a bedroom of a house on Wellington Street about 8:30pm on Saturday night.
Police said she was an Australian permanent resident of Chinese origins.
“Our thoughts are with the relatives of Ms Zhang who have been notified of her death,” Detective Sergeant Joe Riley said in a statement.
German man Tobias Pick, 27, has been charged with one count of murder and one count of stealing over the death.
In a statement earlier today, Tasmania Police said: “Tobias is from Germany and has been in Australia on a working visa for at least several months.”
