Last Saturday the region had 21 active cases, as of Friday that had shrunk to 10 with the municipality on the verge of hitting single digits for the first time since July 13 when there was 6.
Just three new COVID-19 infections have been found in Geelong since Monday, in comparison eight were recorded in Colac Otway which has a total of 33 active cases, the highest number in regional Victoria.
