Geelong steady as coronavirus fight continues – Bay 93.9

The council’s tally has risen by one but active cases remain at five, while one case remains along the Surf Coast.
On Monday the Golden Plains, Colac-Otway and Queenscliffe are all still virus free.
Further north, in Wyndham, the coronavirus outbreaks there continue to grow with the council area recording another 18 new infections, pushing the active total to 209.
Across the bay in Mornington, the council area has recorded its first active case of the virus for some time, after claiming it was unfairly included in the Melbourne lockdown due to being free of the disease.
Of todays new cases 25 are linked to known outbreaks, one was a returned traveller in hotel quarantine and 151 remain under investigation.
They include an increase in the cases linked to an outbreak at the Al-Taqwa College in Truganina, the total now sitting at 144.
It sees Victorias overall tally rise to 3,967 after nine cases were reclassified with 641 of those linked to community transmission.
Currently 72 Victorians are in hospital with the virus, including 17 in intensive care.
There are now 1,612 cases listed as active across the state.
