Gai Vieira unlikely to recover from brain injury sustained in police crash, court told

A Sydney grandmother whose car was hit by a police vehicle two years ago will likely never recover from her severe brain injury, a jury has heard.

Harry Thomas Little, 42, has pleaded not guilty to dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm over the September 2018 smash at Cronulla, in the city’s south.

The NSW District Court today heard Senior Sergeant Little was pursuing a driver suspected of using a mobile phone as part of a state-wide road safety operation at the time.
