Future Fund boosts cash buffer by $12b – The Australian Financial Review
The Future Fund dramatically increased its cash holding in the June quarter as it reported a slight decline in assets over the financial year to $161 billion.
The 76 per cent increase lifted the portfolio allocation to cash from 9.6 per cent to 17 per cent of total assets.
The value, or amount invested, in illiquid assets declined by $7.3 billion to $45.13 billion during the June quarter. The portfolio weight of these assets declined from 32.4 per cent to 28 per cent.
