The greater Brisbane area is entering a three-day lockdown after a quarantine worker contracted the more infectious UK variant of Covid-19.

New Zealanders on board Air New Zealands first quarantine-free flight into Brisbane have gone straight into a three-day lockdown due to an outbreak of a more infectious variant of Covid-19 at a managed isolation facility in the Australian city.
An Air New Zealand spokeswoman said there were 25 customers on board flight NZ147, which departed Auckland at 7:40am on Thursday.
The flight went smoothly and customers were delighted to be reunited with their loved ones in Brisbane.
