From COVID-19 lockdown rut to life on the road, single mum takes kids on outback adventure

When single mum Carol Owen realised that her lockdown life looked no different to her normal life, she decided to take her boys Wesley and Monty out of school and embark on the adventure of a lifetime.

By the end of regional Victoria’s second lockdown, the trio had packed up their South Gippsland home, put their possessions into storage and set off in a 1992 campervan, which they now call home.
