French Exit review – Michelle Pfeiffer can’t save disastrous sinking souffle – The Guardian
A misjudged performance from the star is one of many bum notes in an irritating and indulgent story of rich people becoming less rich

In the last act of this years New York film festival closing entry French Exit, a character whom were supposed to despise tells a room full of misfits whom were supposed to love (or at the very least find vaguely interesting): I dont like you people. With that he leaves in a huff and were left wishing we were off with him, a merciful release from a torturous trifle of a movie filled with people who are very, very, very hard to like.
