The neurologist has retracted the claims which angered test veteran Johnny Sexton, who says they’re “inaccurate” and “upsetting”.

The French neurologist who said Johnny Sexton had suffered as many as 30 concussions in his career has retracted the claim and apologised to the Ireland captain.
Dr Jean-Francois Chermann said he ordered that Sexton be stood down from rugby for 12 weeks due to repeated brain injuries when the first five-eighth was a Racing 92 player in 2014, but he has retracted the comments he made in an interview on French radio station RMC Sport on Tuesday (Wednesday NZ time).
