Fremantle’s tent city is being run by ‘professional protestors’, Mark McGowan says

WA Premier Mark McGowan has claimed “professional protesters” are taking advantage of “vulnerable people” at a tent city which sprang up in the Western Australian port city of Fremantle, south of Perth, on Boxing Day.

Set up in Fremantle’s Pioneer Park as an event run by a group calling themselves variously “Freo Street Kitchen” and “House the Homeless”, it was originally advertised as a meal service to provide for people during the holiday period.
