Justin Longmuir says Fremantle will back in Stephen Hill despite the veteran’s struggles, while All-Australian candidate Luke Ryan is under a cloud ahead of this week’s short turnaround.

A bitterly disappointed Fremantle coach Justin Longmuir said his young midfielders had to learn to get to a higher level after they were clobbered by GWS at Optus Stadium.
Longmuir described the 38-point loss as the worst since the loss to Geelong. But he backed veteran Stephen Hill to rediscover his best form after his second poor game in as many weeks, saying he needed continuity after a wretched run with injury and still had much to offer.
