Fred Brophy’s boxing tent makes a long-awaited return at Rockhampton’s Beef 2021

The Barrister, as he is known, puts out a call to arms on an exclusive Facebook group looking, naturally, for people with a colourful past.

He’s not searching for clients, but opponents — crooks with a “good long criminal history” to lace up a set of boxing gloves and face him in the world’s last legal boxing tent.

“If you’re beating him but you let him win, he’ll waive his fee next time you front court,” so the legend goes.
