People in a major Fraser Island tourist village have been told to leave immediately, with bushfires expected to hit the area later this afternoon.
A “leave immediately” bushfire warning has been issued for a major Fraser Island tourist village as worsening conditions threaten the area.
The Fraser Island fire has been burning for more than seven weeks, and razed through at least 50 per cent of the world-heritage listed site.
