Fraser Island bushfire: As an intense bushfire continues to burn on Fraser Island, the Shadow Environment Minister has slammed the Government’s handling of the blaze.
Sam O’Connor MP says there is a “cultural
issue” preventing the use of measures the Opposition supports, such as cool, controlled burning.“I think it points to a broader culture we see from this Government – that they resist cool, controlled burns – and that needs to change.”
