Fourth occupant of allegedly stolen car charged after fatal crash
He was denied police bail and is facing five counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and three counts of stealing.
Detective Inspector Chris Lawson said the teen, who was known to police, had moved to Mackay in the past two weeks and one of each of the charges were related to offences alleged to have been committed in that central Queensland city.
“Whilst Mackay police were conducting inquiries in relation to other matters [on Thursday] they located him,” he said.
“We’re satisfied with our investigation to date that we have located all four people that were in the stolen vehicle at the time of the traffic crash.”
Two 18-year-old men and a 17-year-old female, also alleged to have been in the stolen car, were arrested and charged…
