Former Victorian Liberal leader Matthew Guy welcomed back onto Opposition front bench
Former Liberal leader Matthew Guy former is being welcomed back to the Liberal Nationals shadow cabinet in a reshuffle announced today.
Key points:
- Matthew Guy will handle the finance, jobs and trade portfolios
- Michael O’Brien will take over a new position of shadow minister for COVID recovery
- Other changes involve the education, tourism and manufacturing roles
Mr Guy quit as Liberal leader in December, 2018 after a disastrous loss in the state election, and was replaced by Michael O’Brien.
Mr O’Brien said Mr Guy would take over responsibility for finance, jobs and trade, and as the shadow minister for business precincts.
