Former NRL boss steps up to crease for first love

Former NRL boss Todd Greenberg will take over as the new chief executive of the Australian Cricketers’ Association.

Greenberg was officially unveiled on Monday, replacing Alastair Nicholson, who confirmed his departure in October.

It’s the first official move into cricket for Greenberg, who played first grade for Randwick Petersham in Sydney before climbing the NRL’s ranks.

He was Canterbury’s CEO from 2008-13, before becoming the NRL’s head of football in 2013 and chief executive in 2016.
