Former Adelaide broadcaster Scott McBain denied workers’ compensation for back injury
One of South Australia’s most well-known voiceover artists has lost a bid for workers’ compensation after his employer filmed him driving for hours and carrying heavy items.

Scott McBain did program announcements and presenting for Channel 9 from 1983–2005 and also worked on Adelaide radio until 2006.
South Australia’s Employment Tribunal heard he started working as a truck driver at Integrated Waste Services (IWS) in 2015 and injured his right arm and lower back in January 2016 when he fell while unfurling the curtain on a side of a truck at the Dublin landfill.
