‘Forgotten’ workers push for easier PTSD compo

Workers have described seeing car wrecks littered with body parts, being stabbed, the smell of death and having to pry newborn babies from neglectful parents in maternity wards as they argue for the state’s new compensation laws to include them.A parliamentary committee is reviewing presumptive workers’ compensation legislation that will presume a PTSD diagnosis is the result of cumulative workplace trauma for specific occupations, making it easier to put in a claim.
