Classique Legend had his first start for Caspar Fownes in the Group One Longines Hong Kong Sprint at Sha Tin on Sunday.

Classique Legend’s first-up run for Caspar Fownes in the Longines Hong Kong Sprint at Sha Tin on Sunday didn’t go to plan with the grey gelding finishing down the track in the Group One race.It was Japanese sprinter Danon Smash ($21) who landed the prize, giving Ryan Moore back-to-back Group One wins on the International Races card having earlier partnered Mogul to victory in the Hong Kong Vase. It was not pretty viewing for those on Classique Legend from start to finish.
