Foreign military arrivals test positive to COVID-19 in Darwin hotel quarantine
A foreign military official and the partner of another official have tested positive to coronavirus while in hotel quarantine in Darwin’s CBD.
The federal Department of Defence said the pair arrived in the city on Monday as part of several hundred foreign military personnel arriving in the Northern Territory for a training exercise this month.
In a statement, the department said the individuals had no contact with the Northern Territory community.
“The affected individuals have been taken to the Royal Darwin Hospital by Northern Territory Health patient transport for further care,” the statement said.
More to come.
