The run-down old car was found in a dingy farm shed.
A badly beaten-up muscle car almost five decades old has sold for hundreds of thousands of dollars.
The 1971 Ford Falcon was found in a farm shed in outer Melbourne and sent to auction at the weekend.
It sold for $400,000.
Aaron Lofts from Grays Online Auctions said the car was one of only 300 produced.
Id struggle to think of another car thats more desirable than a GTHO Phase III, he said, referencing the specialist make of the Ford.
