By playing Kieran Foran at hooker next season, Manly could prevent Josh Schuster – earmarked as the long-term No.6 – from seeking a release from the club.

Kieran Foran could be returning to Manly as a makeshift hooker rather than reprising his premiership-winning halves combination with Daly Cherry-Evans.
The Knights and Sea Eagles are two of the clubs considering extending Forans NRL career after Canterbury opted not to offer him a new contract. The Kiwi international is keen to reunite with coach Des Hasler on the northern beaches, although it wont necessarily be in his former No.6 jersey.
