For all the Brisbane members, born and bred, I am hoping to find memories, photos or even old film footage of an annual event during the 1980’s, that was held on the Brisbane River, from the Captain Cook Bridge
down past the Victoria Bridge.The event may have been run by 4BC, and it comprised of a LOT of local Brisbane businesses and organisations, each building their own make shift pontoon rafts using 44 gallon drums and fitted with water canons, water bombs, eggs, flour bombs and other such friendly projectiles. Each raft with its crew, would then try and bombard the other crews to knock them out of the challenge.
