A Florida family created a fake church to sell a toxic industrial bleach as a cure for serious diseases, including COVID-19, cancer, and AIDS, a federal grand jury found.
The suburban Tampa family allegedly pocketed more than a million dollars selling their Miracle Mineral Solution.
The solution actually contained sodium chlorite, a toxic compound typically used for industrial-scale water treatment or for bleaching textiles, prosecutors said in a press release.
