Five-year-old boy allegedly hit by car in Anula, Darwin’s north, while riding bike

A five-year-old boy riding his bike has been briefly knocked unconscious after being allegedly hit by a car in the Darwin suburb of Anula.

- The boy is now recovering in hospital
- He sustained back and head injuries
- NT police are investigating the incident
St Johns Ambulance NT operations manager Craig Garraway said the incident happened about midday on Tuesday.
“We had reports of a young five-year-old boy hit by a car in the rain there, riding his pushbike,” he said.
“The reports we had at the time was that he was hit by a car and unconscious.
“Thankfully when we got there he was out from under the car and conscious and had a number of back injuries and head injuries.”
