Five teens hospitalised after car hits tree in Brisbane’s north

Five teenagers have been rushed to hospital, two in critical condition, after the car in which they were travelling hit a tree north of Brisbane late on Sunday.
The Ford Focus had failed to negotiate a turn from Old North Road onto South Pine Road in Brendale about 11pm when it left the road, police said in a statement.
An 18-year-old man, who was the driver, and a 16-year-old girl were taken to hospital, where they remain in a critical condition.
Three other 16-year-old girls were transported with non-life-threatening injuries.
Anyone who witnessed the incident or may have dashcam footage is urged to come forward.
