Fittler confirms Origin berth for Trbojevic despite injury – Sydney Morning Herald
The NSW coach sounded out the State of Origin doctor, who guaranteed the Manly superstar would be right for the series opener.
Trbojevic will miss Manly’s final match of the season, against the Warriors next week, but is expected to be fully fit by the time NSW players – barring those involved in their team’s finals campaign – gather for the start of Origin preparations.
Fittler only needed a short conversation with Gibbs, also the Manly medico, to confirm Trbojevic would be in the NSW fold despite being restricted to just seven games this year.
