Having won four of the last five A-League wooden spoons, the Central Coast Mariners now sit a remarkable seven points clear at the top of the table, nearing the halfway mark of the season, following a 2-0 home victory over the second placed Macarthur Bulls at Central Coast Stadium.
Its the Mariners eighth win of the season after just 11 games, having only managed eight victories in the previous two seasons combined.
