First doses of Oxford-AstraZeneca COVID vaccine arrive in Australia
Australia’s first doses of the Oxford-AstraZeneca COVID-19 vaccine have arrived in Sydney.
The vaccines have been transported to a storage facility in Western Sydney where they are being kept under tight security.
The first batches are being imported, with later doses of the vaccine to be made locally.
It is the second vaccine to arrive in Australia, with the first week of the Pfizer vaccinations already completed for frontline workers and aged care residents.
More to come.
