Fireworks launched at police helicopter hovering over Gold Coast hoons
“This person was charged with possessing fireworks and dangerous operation, evading police, as well as attaching false plates and failing to stop at two different red lights.
“Those red lights were at considerable speed and again, each single instance of that could have had tragic results.”

Superintendent Sheldon said police believed they had found who was responsible for organising the gatherings, and said they were targeting them.
“We make no apology for it, we’re proactively targeting them if they’re going to participate in this sort of anti-social behaviour,” he said.
