Fire destroys Brisbane home, one in hospital

A fire has torn through a two-story Queenslander home in Brisbane’s south, hospitalising one and putting a nearby church at risk.

The property on Cork Street in Yeronga went up in flames just after midday on Saturday.

Fire services were called to the blaze, arriving about 12.20pm.
