Fines can now be issued for not wearing a face mask in public indoor settings across Greater Sydney but transport authorities, retailers and churches are doing what they can to help people adjust to the new health order.

From midnight today, police can issue $200 on-the-spot fines for individuals who are caught not wearing a face covering in certain spaces.
