Sources have said the Victorian government is yet to be convinced of anything other than the necessity for a hard two-week quarantine, during which players can’t train, although discussions with Tennis Australia, the ATP and WTA are ongoing and those close to players remain hopeful they will be allowed to train at designated venues while still being separate from the public.
TA remains optimistic that it can find a middle ground that would allow players to prepare for the rigours of a grand slam…
