FBI releases footage of person who allegedly placed pipe bombs in Washington before the Capitol Hill riots
The FBI has released new video showing a person placing two pipe bombs outside the offices of the Republican and Democratic national committees the night before the January 6 riot at the US Capitol.

- Authorities disarmed the bombs before they could be detonated
- It is unclear whether the bombing plan was related to the deadly riot
- Devices were placed near both the DNC and RNC headquarters
US Capitol Police and agents from the FBI were called to the Republican National Committee’s office just after midday on January 6.
About 30 minutes later, as the agents and bomb technicians were still investigating at the RNC, another call came in for a similar explosive device found at the Democratic National Committee headquarters.
