FBI arrests suspect over pipe bombs planted ahead of January 6 US Capitol riot

The FBI has arrested a man suspected of planting pipe bombs in Washington the night before the January 6, 2021, riot at the Capitol.

The bureau released surveillance video, offered a $US500,000 ($756,000) reward and received hundreds of tips in an almost five-year investigation.
