The father of two children rescued from a burning Canberra home after their mother deliberately started a near-fatal fire, has told the ACT Supreme Court the incident revealed the “true evil” of his ex-partner.

The man’s victim impact statement was read out to the ACT Supreme Court today, after his former wife pleaded guilty to two counts of attempted murder.
